12月7日，中国红十字基金会“红气球挑战赛”（杭州留下站）在浙江省杭州市西湖区留下街道杨家牌楼举办。这是“红气球挑战赛”首次走进社区，来自留下街道各社区、企业、学校等多家单位及其他支持伙伴的500名选手，组成100支队伍参加比赛，在体验社区悠久的历史文化的同时，学习掌握应急救护知识和技能，感受人道情怀。
中国红十字基金会副秘书长郭阳，浙江省红十字会党组成员、专职副会长黄元龙，杭州市红十字会党组成员、副会长梁强勇，杭州市西湖区红十字会党组书记、专职副会长戴文娟，留下街道办事处主任唐锐，蚂蚁集团社会责任部总经理、蚂蚁公益基金会秘书长王晓晶等出席启动仪式。

比赛过程中，选手们5人一组，在规定时间内完成心肺复苏+AED、气道异物梗阻处置、应急救护知识问答、小腿骨折固定+担架搬运、外伤包扎、社区文化地标合影等6项任务。由西湖区红十字会和蚂蚁急救团组成的40名裁判和130名志愿者，在比赛现场帮助参赛者掌握正确的应急救护知识和技能，用温暖的笑容为选手提供专业的志愿服务。

“红气球挑战赛”是由中国红十字基金会发起的国内首个以应急救护为主题的团队式徒步运动公益赛事，自2021年启动以来，已陆续在北京、贵州、温州、苏州、中山、阿尔山、呼和浩特、株洲等地开展。2023年起，“红气球挑战赛”陆续走进云南、河南、北京、内蒙古、陕西等地的中小学及高校。
