中国丹霞地貌学界泰斗黄进教授及中国地质学专家张家志考察了黎明景区后，曾指出黎明景区丹霞地貌是全国面积最大、景色最壮观的丹霞地貌群，其相对高度、绝对高度及壮观程度、色彩绚丽程度均属全国之首。

黎明高山丹霞片区，是领略丹霞风光和学习地理地质知识的好去处，其冰峰奇峡、奇峰异石，吸引了无数人前来游览观光，有千龟山、将军柱、大佛崖 、摩天岭、驼峰山、情人柱、七人石等著名景点。
